What does a DMC (destination management company) in Spain do?
A DMC plans and delivers events on the ground in a destination — venue sourcing, logistics, transfers, production, staffing and on-site coordination. Protocol DMC does all of this for corporate events, conferences and incentives across Spain and Portugal.
How far ahead should we plan our event?
For larger conferences and incentive programmes we recommend starting 12+ months ahead, and 9–12 months as a minimum — Spain's best venues, hotels and peak-season dates are booked a long way out, and a longer runway means better rates, better availability and far more creative freedom. Smaller meetings can often be delivered in 3–6 months, and we're used to moving quickly when a date is tight.
